Races:
The world of our LARP setting includes a wide variety of fantasy races such as dwarves, elves, orcs, goblins, halflings, gnomes, and many others, each with their own cultures, histories, and characteristics. These races help to enrich the setting and provide depth to the story, offering players the chance to encounter different perspectives and challenges within the game world. They may appear as allies, enemies, or neutral parties, and interactions with them can shape the direction of the narrative. Players are encouraged to react to these encounters in character, treating each race as a believable part of the world while maintaining respectful and immersive roleplay.
Currently, all player characters are required to be human. This allows the crew to take on the roles of non-human races and deliver more controlled, consistent, and immersive encounters. By keeping player characters human, the game ensures clarity in storytelling, reduces confusion in large group settings, and allows the crew to better manage costuming, makeup, and portrayal of different races. It also helps maintain a clear distinction between players and crew roles, enhancing the sense of discovery when encountering non-human beings. This structure ultimately supports a more engaging and cohesive experience for everyone involved.
